Check this page for updates on what's going on in the veterinary world; from the desk of Jason Hobbs... What's New 11/8/07 -Jim LaClaire and Tracy Cooley have recently made their farrier services available to our clinic. Every Friday, they and Dr. Hank work together to institute therapeutic shoeing and treatment plans for your horse. -In August we added a powerful new diagnostic tool to our practice. The TruDr Digital Radiology System has enabled us to quickly and accurately visualize conditions in your animal that were previously difficult to diagnose. -The arrival of cooler weather is no time to forget about flea and tick prevention for your companion animal. Our climate subjects our dogs and cats to a year-round assault from these parasites. Be sure you have all of your preventive measures in place. -The cooler weather also reminds us that animals need protection. This time of year, the weather can (and will) change rapidly. Outdoor pets and livestock are subjected to drenching rain and freezing temperatures in rapid succession, resulting in wet hair and loss of the natural insulative ability. Remember, though everyone talks about the hot summers in the southeast, the winters can be an equally dangerous time. That's all for now--check back later! Special sneak preview The plans have begun for the newest addition to Lee Vet Clinic. The ground has been marked for a new building! An equine surgical suite with a larger treatment room and additional stalls is in the works. Check back later for updates!
